Most researchers nowadays are faced with the demand of analyzing or interpreting large amounts of data derived from Genomic or Transcriptomic sequencing.
RNAseq is a fast way of getting a snapshot of the transcribed genes at a specific time, following or not a specific stimulus. R Studio is an easy to learn tool to analyze RNAseq. There are several people developing scripts to analyze and interpret RNAseq data with specific forums where you can get answers to your questions.
LYRIS has invited Marta Ferreira, a bioinformatician with 6+ years of experience analyzing RNAseq data and integrating it with several other OMICS. She has participated in several collaborative projects analyzing data from diabetic and oncologic patients and has published several papers demonstrating her skills.
This Course has been divided into 4 lessons in consecutive days. As this is a practical course, you will need to have installed R and RStudio beforehand. These are open and you can easily download them. All the materials will be sent to you one week in advance.
𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻:
- Transcriptome analysis (longRNA and smallRNA sequencing).
- Analysis of RNAseq datasets.
- Mapping against the genome, quantification of gene expression.
- Differential expression analysis.
- Plot design (heatmaps, boxplots) to represent results.
- Functional Enrichment and Network analysis.
It is advised but not mandatory that you have some knowledge of R programming language.
